Vodice is a tourist center known for its liveliness, varied tourist offer and friendly hosts. In 1402 Vodice is first mentioned in scriptures. At this time, the coast was sparsely populated, where boats docked and there was a market. Drinking water was the most important commodity and with this was traded until the end of the 19th century. The water wells were the real reason why the place was just here. In the center of the village is still the built in 1646 tower of Coric. It was built by the wealthy Fondra family from Sibenik as a summer house. Today Vodice is a popular tourist center, the most famous in the central Adriatic.
